Conditions for MSW Reception (S-OO3)

FEES
Effective January 1, 2025, the partial base of the fee for MSW collection was increased.
The statutory partial landfill fee base increased from CZK 1,250 per tonne in 2024 to CZK 1,500 per tonne in 2025, in accordance with applicable legislation (Annex 9 to Act No. 541/2020 Coll.). We charge these and related statutory fees to MSW waste producers and remit them in full to the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic.
These statutory charges are expected to rise progressively through 2030. For the applicable fee rates, please refer to the linked schedule. VAT is not applied to the statutory fee under Act No. 541/2020 Coll. (exemption).
These fees are mandatory pass-through items and do not constitute revenue for our company. Any related price adjustments reflect changes in legislation, including obligations arising from EU requirements.
Waste types marked with an * in the price list may, in certain cases, be assessed as technical security waste (TZS), in which case the fee under Act No. 541/2020 Coll. is not charged. Classification as TZS is subject to assessment and is not an entitlement.
N denotes hazardous waste. SEPNO service means electronic notification of hazardous-waste transport, charged at CZK 200 per shipment + VAT (see below).
Statutory fees are invoiced to contractual partners in accordance with Annex 9 to Act No. 541/2020 Coll., based on the handling route applied to the received TO (solid waste).
Change in VAT rate
From January 1, 2024, the VAT rate for municipal waste from citizens of municipalities has changed :
Services related to the collection, transport, preparation for disposal and disposal of MSW, as well as the processing of MSW for further use and secondary raw materials were moved from a reduced VAT rate to a higher rate of 21%.
Landfill closure and aftercare charges
The state-regulated charges for the statutory financial reserve for final reclamation remain unchanged:
-
145 CZK/t + VAT for MSW and hazardous waste (except asbestos)
-
75 CZK/t + VAT for other waste and asbestos waste
Electronic hazardous-waste transport notification (SEPNO) and related services
-
We offer customers electronic notification of hazardous-waste transport via the SEPNO system. This service is intended primarily for waste producers who do not have access to SEPNO; we file the mandatory notification on their behalf. Service fee: CZK 200 + VAT.
-
In exceptional cases, we also offer roll-off container rental at CZK 2.500 per month + VAT (limited availability).
VAT at the applicable rate must be added to the prices listed.
Acceptance of selected waste types has been discontinued
By updating our operating rules in line with current legislation, acceptance of selected waste types that should be recycled or recovered (rather than landfilled) has been limited, including:
02 03 04 — materials unsuitable for consumption or processing
02 06 01 — materials unsuitable for consumption or processing
15 01 01 — paper and cardboard packaging
15 01 03 — wooden packaging
17 02 01 — wood
20 02 01 — biodegradable waste
Acceptance of tyres has been discontinued as of 14 March 2011, as the allocated capacity for this waste stream was reached. This change was implemented pursuant to the updated Operating Rules effective February 7, 2011.
Asbestos waste is accepted ONLY IF SECURELY PACKAGED
Our Integrated Permit authorises disposal acceptance under two Waste Catalogue codes: 17 06 01 (insulation materials containing asbestos) and 17 06 05 (construction materials containing asbestos). These most commonly include corrugated asbestos roofing sheets or asbestos boards.
We strongly request that customers handle hazardous waste with due care and draw attention to the associated risks. When handling such waste, the following safety precautions must be observed:
-
At a minimum, wear a respirator and gloves.
-
Waste must be wrapped in plastic bags and covered with a tarpaulin . Otherwise, the waste CANNOT be accepted.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

WHAT IS DELIVERED TO US?
Only waste types permitted by our operating rules. MSW is accepted in the highest volumes; to a lesser extent mixed packaging, demolition and inert waste, etc.
FACTS ABOUT OUR LOCATION
The site is located within a surface quarry created by historical mining of refractory claystone. Ekologie is remediating the legacy impacts of mining activity in the area.
CAPACITY
Approximately 80,000 tonnes of waste are disposed of under controlled conditions each year, including approximately 60,000 tonnes of mixed municipal solid waste (MSW). Primary catchment areas include Kladno, Rakovník, Slaný, and Beroun.
THERE IS MORE AND MORE WASTE
Obyvatelé České republiky produkují stále více odpadu, dle posledních statistik je to již skoro 500 kg komunálního odpadu na jednoho obyvatele za rok. Z toho tři čtvrtiny končí na skládkách.
OUR GOAL
Ekologie s.r.o. aims to lead in environmentally responsible waste management and to empower customers and the local community to contribute to this objective.
RESPONSIBILITY
We apply a corporate responsibility policy toward the environment and surrounding communities as an integral part of the company's management system.
MODERNISATION
We operate and continue to expand an Integrated Waste Management Centre, including a modular mechanical–biological treatment unit.

MORE ABOUT CONTROLLED ACCEPTANCE
The first step of MSW reception is separation into streams intended for further sorting and recovery, and a residual stream not subject to further sorting. Disposal is carried out in compliance with all applicable legislative and normative environmental requirementsnot subject to further sorting.
Protection against leakage into surface and groundwater
The landfill body is protected by multiple sealing layers: compacted clay and a geomembrane with electronic damage detection. A further control measure at the lowest point is a pond stocked with fish as bioindicators of potential groundwater contamination.
Only selected material types may be accepted for environmentally sound management – detailed records are maintained
Material passes over a weighbridge controlled by an INISOFT computer system, providing immediate, transparent records of acceptance and payments for the operator, regulators and customers.
Air pollution is minimised
Odors are reduced by crushing and compacting freshly deposited material, daily watering and cover with inert material that partially absorbs odours. Dust and odour are also reduced through progressive reclamation. Staff collect litter beyond the disposal area and remove windblown debris from vehicles delivering MSW.
The site blends with the surrounding environment
A key advantage of the Rynholec site is its location below the landscape horizon within the excavated part of the former southern Babín quarry. Operations remediate historical mining impacts and support landscape regeneration in the Lány and Rynholec area. Part of the area has already been closed and reclaimed.
